Ralph George Campbell Robb

He is remembered with honour on the Loos Memorial, the Scottish National War Memorial, Larchfield School Memorial, St. Michael and All Angels Church Memorial and Helensburgh War Memorial, Column 1 Line 34.

Loos memorial

The family home was Kintillo, 18 Stafford Street, Helensburgh The son of George H Robb (solicitor) and Grace Denholm Armour Robb.
Siblings: alph had two brothers, John and George and a sister Mary. 
Ralph Robb
Ralph Robb was born at Eastwood, Giffnock, his father was a solicitor in Glasgow, later moving to Helensburgh.
He was educated at Larchfield School and was a member of Helensburgh Cricket Club.
Ralph was reported missing in action, later confirmed killed in action at Loos. He was 20 years of age.
His remains were not recovered.

The family home was 18, Colquhoun Street, Helensburgh, the son of George Robertson and Williamina McIntosh Robertson (Mina)..
Siblings: David had three younger brothers, George, Hector and James and a sister Jessie. George served with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
David Robertson
 David Robertson was born in Helensburgh where is father was a badge porter and he was brought up in the town. He was a choirboy at St Michaels and All Angels Church.
He emigrated to Australia and returned with the Australian Expeditionary Force to fight for his home country. Listed as wounded in May 1915, he was brought back to Scotland to recover and then returned to duty.
David died at Gallipoli, killed in action. He was 24 years old. David's brother-in-law, Jack Taylor, died in 1917 and is also named on the memorial.

The family home was at North Lodge, Shandon Hydropathic Hotel. The son of John Knox Donaldson (coachman) and Euphemia Donaldson.
Siblings: James was the eldest of eight children, John, Robert, William, Elizabeth, Euphemia, Duncan and Alex.
James Donaldson born at the North Lodge, Shandon Hydropathic Hotel, where his father was a coachman. He was employed as a gardener at the hotel before emigrating to Canada where he was employed as a florist.
He was married to Mary Donaldson and lived in Brampton, Ontario.
James joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force and returned to fight for his country. He died at Ypres, killed in action, at the age of 32 years.

The family home was Hopewell Cottage, Helensburgh The son of William Robertson, (widower) and Jane Robertson.
Siblings: Samuel had 1 brother, William, serving with the Black Watch who died at Loos in May 1915. He also had another brother, Malcolm and four sisters, Isabella, Chrissie, Winifred and Catherine.
RobertsonSamuelL
Samuel Robertson was born in Helensburgh and brought up in the town where his father was an engineer with the North British Boats.
Samuel was employed as a motor driver (public bar) before enlisting. He is pictured in the uniform of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and may have joined their ranks and transferred later.
Samuel died, killed in action, at Loos aged 26 years. His remains were not recovered.
